  • Summer Camps at KBC

    Our Junior Director, Lyndsay Thomson, is going to run 2 camps this summer. A 4 day camp on August 6th-9th and a 5 day camp on August 12-16th.

  • 2013 YONEX Canadian Masters Badminton Championship

    7 players from KBC entered the 2013 Yonex Canadian Masters Badminton Championship with our club punching above its weight again. Al Fraser and Mike Mitson both retained their titles from last year in MD65 and MD60 respectively. Terry Downton picked up a silver in MS45, Randy Belanger won silver in MS55 and bronze in MD55 and Tess Tearoe collected 2 bronzes in WD55 and XD60. Randy also won the Fair Play award.

  • End of Season Bar-B-Que and AGM

    Spring is in the air and many of our members take to golf or other recreation during the summer. We want to thank everyone for supporting our club and a special “thank you” to the many volunteers who make our club so successful.

    This year we are having our End of Season Bar-B-Que and Annual General Meeting on Sunday Afternoon, June 2nd.

  • Coaching Opportunity

    Part-Time Head Coach – Kelowna Badminton Club - Closing date for applications - May 30th, 2013

    The Kelowna Badminton Club is looking for a Head Coach to fulfill a part-time contract position commencing September 2013. The posting requires a minimum of a Level I coaching certification, experience in grassroots programs; working with children varying in ages 5-17yrs. The position is guaranteed 12 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, providing group lessons for junior athletes.

  • 2013 Ogopogo Masters Tournament

    The 2013 Ogopogo Masters Tournament was held over the weekend of April 5th-7th. It proved to be very successful with a great social and a number of winners from KBC. Neil Ward, Lyndsay Thompson, Denise Vines, Mike Mitson, Gerhard Koch and Mickey Kroshinsky all won one or more events. To see the full results click RESULTS.
