She has competed on the international circuit as a player and has set records on the CCAA National College Circuit for most wins as a female singles player. She capped her playing career off by being the first badminton player to win the CCAA National Athlete of the Year across all sports. Coaching has been a passion of Lyndsay's for the last 15 years. Starting out as a regional coach in Victoria, Lyndsay is now certified as a Level 2 NCCP coach as well as a coaching facilitator - instructing coaches throughout the province. After coaching the BC Junior team for a number of years, Lyndsay moved to Kelowna to become the Head Coach of the Kelowna Badminton Club, where, for 5 years, she worked with the Juniors and developed the High Performance Program. Happy to have moved into a director's position at the club, Lyndsay still enjoys spending time with all the great juniors at the club |

Junior Coach: Tomis BridgeTomis has been playing badminton for nine years and has been helping out as a coach for four of those years. Besides playing in and winning numerous tournaments around the valley, he has grown as a player and coach by helping out with his school team. He is a current student at Kelowna Secondary School and has gone to the Provincial Championships with KSS both as a player and as a coach for the team. Although Tomis no longer plays competitively he loves working with and training our junior players. He completed his Level 1 NCCP qualification to ensure that the skills he teaches are of high standard; however, he certainly sees the value in creating a fun learning environment with the use of positive reinforcement and most importantly - bribery (candy!) |
