  • 2012 Canadian Masters Championship

    A small contingent of KBC members went to play in the 2012 Canadian Masters Championships last week in Quebec. The team might have been small but it came away with more than its fair share of medals. Denise Vines won gold in the 45+ mixed event, Barb Heaney won gold in the 50+ mixed event, Mike Mitson won gold in the 60+ men's doubles event and bronze in the 50+ men's doubles and 60+ mixed events, Al Fraser won gold in the 65+ men's doubles event and bronze in the 65+mixed event and Tess Tearoe won bronze in the 55+ and 60+ lady's doubles events.

  • 2012 Summer Ladder

    The Summer Ladder will start next Tuesday, 1st May and will run through to Tuesday August 28th. To play: register on the night by 7:15 PM, the cost will be one shuttlecock.

  • 2012 Ogopogo Masters

    The 2012 Ogopogo Masters Tournament was held at KBC over the weekend of 20-22 April. Considering that KBC had hosted the Provincial Masters just 4 weeks earlier there was very good turnout with 80 players from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Washington. Denise Vines, Barb Heaney, Fran Mann, Tess Tearoe, Neil Ward, Terry Downton, Colin Comfort, Martin Weilmeier, Mike Mitson and Randy Belanger all picked up wins for KBC.

  • 2012 Provincial Masters

    The 2012 Provincial Masters Championships was held at KBC last weekend (23-25 March.) It proved to be a very successful with 90 competitors, some coming from as far afield as Alberta, Saskatchewan and Washington. KBC had a number of winners, Neil Ward, Terry Downton, Denise Vines, Randy Belanger, Mike Mitson and Allan Fraser are all entitled to call themselves Provincial Champions.
